Colton, New York

My name is Caleb Dollinger.I was born October 15, 1996 in Ogdensburg NY. I am currently 17 years old and going to Colton-Peirrepont Central School in Colton, New York, Class of 2016. In my school, the students all get laptops to do their homework and assignments on. I am familiar with technology and I am able to operate a device. I like to work with groups and I am good with staying on a task and wont take a break until I am done or almost done with it. I am creative, on task, good with teamwork and being a leader. I am also caring towards others and am humorous at times.

I am intersted in becoming a secondary science education teacher in the future. I'm going to go to Suny Potsdam College and I am going to be taking science and education courses to get closer to my goal.

Another interest is comuter programming and coding. It would be nice to be able to help others with fixing their computers/laptops. Creating computor games is a small interst but, it would be cool to be able to make a game that millions of people play everyday.

I do like to be a part of music and theatre arts and I have of experience in that field but I am ok with whatever I get for a job.

I have been to Clarkson University for a four weekend program called "Project Challenge", that teaches students in highschool what a college setting is like.

A couple experiences that i have had was a Tech Share at Suny Potsdam, I have hiked to the peak or Mt. Asure in NY. My school has taught good digital citizenship and we have had repeated the rules to the point that i know Them by heart.

I have also done some community service. Here are some events,

  • Helped in the elementary school play to fill in for a younger student
  • Helped to fix up the church in South Colton, NY for the bishop's visit
  • Sold hot cocoa and food at the ice rink in South Colton, NY

I am going to S.L.L. Boces for ECE (Early childhood Education) next year, To gain some essential skills that are necessary for teaching.

I also am an alumni of HOBY in Oswego county NY, which is the Hugh O'brian Youth Leadership program. I attended on May 30th, 2014. I am trying to apply to become a junior facilitator or a staff member for next year. The way for me to do that is to comple about 100+ hours of community sercive
