Sports Professional in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

My love of sports started at a very young age. While growing up, I was busy year round with football, basketball, and my favorite, baseball. I also stayed very involved in the performing arts with band, choir, and school plays.

After high school, I attended South Dakota State University. During my time at SDSU, I studied Sport, Recreation, and Park Management. I also was part of "The Pride of the Dakotas" Marching Band and the South Dakota State Pep Band. It was an awesome experience to be able to join my love of sports and my love of playing the trombone. I graduated from SDSU with the major of Sport, Recreation, and Park Management and a minor in Management.

My work experience in the baseball industry started while I was still in college. Between my Junior and Senior years, I was a Game-Day Baseball Operations intern with the Sioux Falls Canaries Baseball Team. I made a lot of good friends, connections, memories, and gained a ton of experience during that summer. Once I graduated, I accepted the Full-Time Game Operations Assistant position with the Canaries for the summer of 2016. In this position, I create all of the scripts for each home game, produce and direct all on-field promotions each game, assist with the supervision and management of all game-day interns, assist in the direction of all pre-game, in-game, and post-game promotional events, contests, and games, assist in the coordination and scheduling of all National Anthem Singers, Ceremonial First Pitches, Honorary Bat Boys/Girls, Honorary Mini-Managers, and other Ceremonial or Honorary Personnel, and create new, exciting, and fan engaging between-inning promotions.

My dream is to be able to work for a Major League Baseball Team in the Promotions, Marketing, or Fan Engagement department. I am excited to see where baseball will take me and my fiancee, Shannon, and I cannot wait to be able to start our lives together in the crazy world of baseball.
