There are so many ways to define who I am as a person that I am afraid to try and define myself because I don't want to get anything wrong. The only thing that I can stay definitively is that I am a wonderer. I am the type of person who finds wonder in everything. To me, our world and its place in the universe fills me with awe and confusion. In a way, I am much like the universe because I cannot be easily classified or understood. In order to truly understand me, one would have to spend time with me just as they would have to observe the universe. So, here comes my attempt to categorize and classify who I am. For starters, music is really soothing to me, I play the trombone and I love singing. Music can express so many complex feeling that can't be conveyed with words. Painting and drawing are similar to music in this regard. I paint for the same reason that I play music, because it is a way for me to express emotions that cannot be explained with words. I like to have fun and I try not to take life too seriously. Sometimes I'm extremely random, and sometimes I am subdued and calm. Like most people, I cannot be summed up with a few words. I love being around nature and hiking. Gardening relaxes me and makes me feel like I'm giving back to the earth by taking care of it. However, I also love technology and video games. As a matter of fact, I'm a Computer Science major and I enjoy programming apps for the iPhone. I have a minor in Astrophysics, which is basically just over-complicated Astronomy. It fascinates me so much. I love looking up at the night sky in silence, seeing millions of tiny dots, each is a world of it's own; it is amazing how small we all are in comparison to the universe.
