Greetings! I am currently a student attending Biola University, studying Biological Science and falling in love with biology more every day. I really love the outdoors, hiking, studying, volunteering, and being involved in the medical field.

I am a graduating senior and have my medical assistant license for the state of California and have held multiple internships and volunteer positions ranging from free-clinics to pain management surgeons.

What really drew me into the medical field was the idea of helping others who are suffering. As I dove more and more into the field I was able to see an interesting dynamic and almost battle within each medical office. As time progressed, I was able to see that the business owner or executive encouraged the doctor to move through as many patients as they could. While the physician did their best to make sure each individual patient was well taken care of. However, not all offices had such a patient-focused mentality. It was in these clinics or offices that patients were quickly in and out of the medical office and were not given much time to explain themselves. It became so apparent to me why so many people feel like "numbers" when seeing a physician.

In lieu of this mentality, my desire to go into the medical field has significantly strengthened because I want to be in this field and make patients remember that they are not just a 'number', they are an individual that matters immensely. Because of this, in all of my internships and volunteering positions, I always made my bet effort to make each patient feel valued and that is what I would like to do for whatever position I am in.

I have two other brothers in my household and I cannot speak highly enough of the positives of having siblings your age. They both definitely helped me mature and learn certain things in life and I am sure it is the same for them.

I am also an Eagle Scout of Troop 1613, that is one of my crowning achievements in high school and I strive everyday to achieve something greater. I would recommend boy scouts as well to anyone because it is an amazing way to make friends, be outside, learn useful life skills, and just release some testosterone every so often. Overall, you are forced to handle responsibilities and being a team player and there has been plenty of times where I have used my knowledge from Boy Scouts in my life.
