Our Story. . .
Fayetteville, AR
In the fall of 2009, Jenny and I moved to Fayetteville, AR to work with college students at the University of Arkansas. We began our ministry with The Navigators collegiate mission. We quickly fell in love with Northwest Arkansas and knew God had great things in store for us here.
Since our initial move to Northwest Arkansas God has brought a lot of changes our way. In the Spring of 2013, I was offered a job with Young Life as their collegiate ministry coordinator for Northwest Arkansas. I was greatly humbled by the opportunity and accepted the position. In addition, Jenny was offered a teaching possition at Northwest Arkansas Classical Academy in Bentonville, AR.
As I continue to follow the Lord's calling for my life, I'm reminded of the importance of reaching college students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. College is a unique time with new experiences and tough decisions for many students. During this time, students are trying to figure out who they are, where they belong, and what their purpose in life is. As a college minister, I hope to direct them to the person of Jesus Christ who can help them answer these questions.
To put my mission in perspective, I want to share a statistic. This year, there will be over 24,000 students at the University of Arkansas. Less than 10% of those students actually have a meaningful relationship with Christ. This means that there are 21,600 students at U of A who do not know Jesus Christ.
Paul says in Philippians 4:5 “Let your gentle Spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.” This is my desire as I work with college students at the University of Arkansas.
