The California Windshield Repair Contractors Association (CWRCA) held a free seminar from new car owners. Sponsored by a popular Japanese Car brand, the CWRCA shared tips on how to keep vehicles in tip top shape even after years from owning it.
CWRCA President Jacob Taylor says providing Subject-Matter-Experts in sponsored seminars like such is CWRCA’s way to give back to the community that continues to patronize their services.
“We need to exert efforts like these because we just cannot earn from a community, we have to give something back to them. Our members are subject matter experts when it comes to car maintenance, and having two or three of them speak to new vehicle owners is already very helpful in educating them how to maintain their vehicles,” Taylor says.
One of the topics discussed by a CWRCA member is how to keep windshield and auto glass in top shape. He mentioned several ways to safely clean the windshield and car windows, without scratching the surface. Moreover the speaker shared do’s and don’ts in cleaning auto glass. “Not every car owner is aware that there are chemicals that can do more harm than good when it comes to cleaning the windshield and car windows. They must be aware that there are harsh formulas out there which they should avoid,” says Joaquin Teloni, a CWRCA member, and a windshield repair and replacement contractor based in San Francisco.
Another topic that was extensively discussed is the safety of using Do-It-Yourself window cleaning formulas. The digital age has made it possible for every concoction to be publicized in the internet. The speaker, Michael Hayes says, “Not every formula or DIY solution published can be helpful. Others can be damaging too,” he explains.

The CWRCA says they are more than willing to hold educational seminars or send subject matter experts to different symposiums to help educate car owners about car care.
