Hi! Welcome. I am new to blogging so bear with me as I get my feet wet. I had thought about blogging for a while, I knew as much as I talk it would not be a problem, writing potery helps some for me to vent. But I guess I wanted more people to be able to read my work. Check out "Poems" if you haven't done so already.

I am a 43 year old, recently divoriced (about 3 years now). I have a 16 year old boy who lives at home with me. My daughter is 22 and moved in with her boyfriend some time ago.

• My passions are books, learning, computers, puzzles, pinterest, Second Life, Sleeping and Dr Pepper.
• I plan on taking up sewing, canning, freezer meal making, and crockpot meal making. One day one step at a time.

"Why the name "A Home Grown Country Girl" ?

Well honestly I've lived in small towns or "Hic Towns" for as long as I can remember. I've lived in my current hometown for the past 30 years or so. I like the bigger cities for a visit but I think I'll always pick a small town to live. So you see I am a Home Grown Country Girl.
