Ciara Allen is originally from Newport News, Virginia but considers Buford, Georgia home. She previously attended UGA and North Carolina State University before becoming a student at North Carolina Central University. Mathematics is her passion and strives to become a professor in Calculus thanks to her high school teacher Mrs. Renner. Understanding that most African American students, or any student for that matter, to a certain extent despises Math because of its difficulty. Her goal in life is to change this mind set and help the future leaders of our world fall in love with not Math as a subject but learning. She strives to help them view the world as an quest in which to seek and find. Nontraditional but not usual, she works full time as Accounts Payable Specialist for Apple Gold Group (the second largest franchise of Applebee's Neigborhood Grill).
