Calm Mind Counseling Center was founded in 2019 with the mission of helping people find hope, resolution and meaningful change. We are a leading resource in the Western Suburbs for trauma-informed care and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).​Trauma-informed means that we look at the full lifespan of a client and contextualize all of the events that have impacted their current struggles. A trauma-informed approach helps clients leave therapy feeling empowered and hopeful, by addressing a specific trauma or examining how the “little things” they’ve experienced add up to a a negative view of themselves or the world around them.
