About Me

I stared high school in The Dominican Republic when I was 14 years old, I attended a private school till the end of my freshman year in high school. During the summer 2009 I moved to New York City with my whole family and in start to study high school in September 2009, I went to Norman Thomas High School since my sophomore year till my senior year in high school. In my first day of class i was very nervous and also sad because i was missing my old school and i didn't now English at all. I had to work very hard in school to learn English, I stayed in after school programs, I went to summer school and in did many things to learn English. After all this hard work i did learn a lot of English, but during my Junior year I was working hard to improve my English, during my senior year I was ready to take all of my classes in English, because I understand all. I graduate on time from high school, but that wasn't all!, I also graduate with honor, it was really happy for all this!, because when I stared school I saw English as a barrier and I put on my mind that I will never do it and I was proud of my self at the end because I did it and according to my teachers I did it in the right way. After I graduate from High school I took a break from school, I didn't apply to college during the fall semester, I did it to start in the spring semester. Right now I am attending Bronx Community College, I am in a special program (CUNY Start) improving things that i couldn't in high school, but with the purpose of going to a 4 year college to earn my Business Administration mayor.
