Hi, I’m Calvin Thompson, creator of the website, monkssportstalk.wordpress.com. Come along for the ride of your life as I cover high school football and basketball in metro-Atlanta. This site is intended for the parents that are unable to support their children at every game. I will cover the sporting event and report to you via my website. My mother was unable to attend many of my high school games and she was heart-broken. Therefore, I have chosen to honor her with this site. To let her know that I understand.

I have had a wonderful ride in sports. I played on a high school basketball team that was undefeated, I replaced Shannon Sharpe at Savannah State University and I had the opportunity to workout for the Carolina Panthers. Now I just want to write about high school football and basketball from a perspective that is seldom seen.
