CAM ALLEN
Cam Allen is a visual artist whose passions resonate through design, publishing and photography.
Cam is the Director of Solace Design, a Visual Design Studio based in Western Australia serving education, corporate and mining sectors throughout WA.
As a former teacher, Cam has developed a strong sense of commitment and passion for marketing in education, and aided by a talented team of designers, the Solace Design team have managed to create a unique niche in the West Australian education market.
SCRIBE Magazine is an extension of Solace Design, an education publication which was established by Cam in February 2011, playing a vital role in showcasing innovative initiatives, exciting activities and inspiring endeavours of teachers, schools and colleges around our great State.
Cam is also developing the Heart 2 Hope Inc, a charity organisation focussing on the development and establishment of grassroots education projects, aptly named after and established for the 'Mama Paulina School of Hope', a poverty-stricken community and Primary School located in the remote town of Mukuro, Kenya. The focus on the organisation in its first year is to create a fundraising programme (The Help to Hope Quest), a foundation project designed to assist the school in retaining the students and their families, build an extended block to accomodate the students, install water tanks, electricity and provide teaching/learning resources. The School offers quality and affordable education to the less fortunate and the Heart 2 Hope Inc. aims to deliver the gift of self-sustainability.
Cam Allen's goals are big, his challenges are huge and the ongoing risks are ever-present. He constantly strives to develop a culture of people willing to take risk and be inspired, share and improve resources, and look at the big picture...whatever that may be...
