Pageant Platform : Kidney Disease : Making a Difference and Raising Awareness

Camay McClure took the Honorary State Title of Ms. Everett Plus America in the Washington Plus America Pageant in October of 2011. Camay brought home the First Runner-Up Title in her division. She partnered with Northwest Kidney Center to support her platform and honor the lives of her parents who, both passed away from kidney failure. She has attended several fundraisers and events with the non-profit organization, sharing her story and raising awareness in her community about the deadly disease.

She then moved on to the Miss American Beauties Plus Pageant, representing Washington as Ms. Washington State to compete for a National Title in Roswell, Georgia in April 2012. Camay was a National Woman of Achievement Finalist, recognized for her outstanding community and platform involvement and was crowned Ms. American Beauties Plus Ambassador, bringing home a National Title!!! When Camay returned to Nationals to crown her Successor in April 2013, she was crowned, American Beauties Plus Lifetime Queen.

Pageantry has propelled Camay into plus size modeling where she has rocked the runway at the Fashion Industry Networking Mixer and Community Spotlight Fashion Event and the Chance Fashion Winter and Formal Wear Fashion Event. She was a full-figured model in the Ruby Room Annual Fundraiser Fashion Show in 2011 and Christian Faith Center’s Annual Cherish Fashion Show in 2012.

Recently, Camay has coached, mentored, motivated and encouraged other women in their Pageant journey, celebrating their National Titleholder achievements. She has supported business owners and organizations and has received countless opportunities to use her Platform to share her story.
