Camelia McAuley

It all began with the purpose of being an advocate for children as they grow and develop in life. I always had a passion for children and wanted to be a teacher someday. This is where the story begins. About ten years ago, I found myself going into daycares to volunteer and assist teachers with children doing whatever I can do to be a help. In 2005-2007, I attended Montgomery Community College in Troy NC, where I worked for and earned my Associate's Degree in Applied Science (Early Childhood Education).

As my passion grew and continues to grow, I have now made the success of teaching young children at Early Headstart/Headstart. In 2011, I went back to college where I am currently a junior at NCCU wth the determination to succeed in working towards and receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

My dream is to be a lead teacher in Public Schools. To achieve my dream, I must be educated with knowledge, skills, and experience so that I will be well prepared for my adventure which is before me. While I continue to attend NCCU, I want to be consistent in achieving higher academics, stay focus and determined because of my purpose and passion for children.
