Cameron A.J.S. Chen

San Francisco, California

I am a young professional with aspirations to open my own microbrewery in my native Portland, Oregon someday. Until then, I'm building a skill-set around various industries that will ultimately come together to produce some pretty awesome craft beer.

I currently work for a technology start-up in San Francisco, where I collaborate with engineers to produce some useful every day tools. The hustle and bustle of the start-up culture keeps me on my feet and gives me perspective on how fragile and exciting a young, up-and-coming company can be.

I am currently a candidate in Masters in Business Administration at the University of Texas at Austin.

Before arriving in the Bay Area, I spent four years on the east coast studying International Affairs and Political Science, working for the Iraqi government, rowing for a Division-1 heavyweight crew team, and fighting to end the HIV/AIDs epidemic in Washington DC. After graduation, I began working for the Japanese retail company, UNIQLO, in Manhattan and Tokyo to develop my managerial skills. Hectic schedules, experiences abroad, and managing hundreds of people helped lend perspective on what it takes to run a successful, expanding corporation.

My motivations, aspirations, best-practices, and experiences will all be incorporated into a company of my own one day.

In the meantime, I enjoy home-brewing, trail-running, and baking more pastries than my body can handle.
