When I am not writing or drawing or fomenting, I am a lawyer, focusing on criminal defense. My work as a story-teller and my work as a lawyer go hand-in-hand. Each informs the other.

Before I put on my defender-of-the-downtrodden cape, I was also a line cook at Spago Hollywood, a 6-color screenprinting press operator, a personal assistant to a self-professed "internationally acclaimed" romantic artist, a computer programmer, a college administrator, a legal writing instructor, a cottage industrialist, and a financial data systems analyst. I run a lot, and I document my adventures in middle-aged fitness (and the lessons I learn along the way) here.
