I never quite fell in love with playing. I fell in love with watching. I fell in love with the passion, the smells, the sounds, and the excitement.

Growing up driving stock cars, running cross country, and playing competitive soccer gave me respect for athletes. I connected with speed the most. So when racing cars became too expensive, consistent running was a fantastic alternative. Long hours in the car led to long distance running, as opposed to sprinting. Running is now something I love doing in my free time, especially training for marathons.

However, I knew that my passion would follow sports broadcasting from a young age. Friday night high school football games with my Dad, constantly being at a race track, and the excitement of local stars becoming NBA players kept me telling stories everyday.

I am actually in love with watching sports, and then telling everybody how amazing it was. Currently, as a reporter at KWVA Eugene 88.1fm, I get to do exactly that. Hopefully, the game never ends.
