Youth Thrive Initiative - YTI - Cameroon

Youth Thrive Initiative - YTI is a youth-led organization based in Buea, Cameroon, dedicated to empowering young people to become active citizens and agents of change in their communities. We believe in fostering a generation of engaged, informed, and responsible individuals who are equipped to address the challenges facing their nation.

YTI provides a platform for young people to develop their leadership skills, engage in civic activities, and promote for their rights. We offer a variety of programs, including:

• Leadership Training: We provide workshops and mentorship programs to equip young people with essential skills such as communication, advocacy, project management, and critical thinking.
• Civic Engagement: We encourage young people to participate in democratic processes, including voting, advocacy, and community decision-making, by organizing voter registration drives, civic education workshops, and opportunities for youth to engage with local government officials.
• Community Development: We implement projects that address community needs, such as organizing anti-drug campaigns and support groups, offering career orientation and mentorship programs, and encouraging volunteerism and community service.
• Health and Rights Advocacy: We advocate for the sexual and reproductive health and rights of adolescents and youths through awareness campaigns, workshops, and collaboration with healthcare providers.
