My little family - Matt, myself, Emily and Canon - moved to WA from TX in June 2005, right after Matt graduated from dental school in Dallas. We have totally fallen in love with WA, and we live with a beautiful view of the Olympic mountains across the waters of the Hood Canal every day! Our favorite family trips are going to the beach to hang out, or over to the mountains for hiking. We have a 28ft travel trailer, and we love to spend long weekends in the "RV"!

We have two kids - Emily and Canon. Emily is 15 and in the 10th grade at CKHS. (how is it possible that I have a daughter that is a Sophomore in High School?!?) Her favoritve passtime is reading - she adores teen fantasy, the classics, and anything by John Green. Driver's Ed starts this spring... She is all teenager, and I see myself in her.

Our son, Canon, has significant developmental delays due to complications during pregnancy, and he is largly nonverbal - though he never fails to make his wants known! Canon is 12, and he is in the 6th grade. He attends a special education class in our public school system, and he loves every minute of it! He has a new friend, his chocolate lab, Tia, who is happy to be his favorite companion. He adores jigsaw puzzles, stickers, old-fashioned musicals, dancing, and any activity involving a ball. Canon continues to make small steps of progress in his own time, and though he remains far behind his peers developmentally, he is second to none when it comes to giving smiles and love!

I stay busy with (volunteer) teaching art at Canon's school, training for Pet Partners with Tia, working out at the Y in Silverdale, and anything else I can get involved with.

Mostly, I'm a full-time Mom!
