Camilla Denison

Camilla Denison has earned a reputation as a highly capable engineer and high-ranking executive in the automotive manufacturing industry. During her 29-year career, Camilla Denison has served in a management capacity with such notable companies as General Motors Company, ITT Automotive, Visteon Corporation, and Champion Laboratories, Inc. As Vice President of ITT Automotive, Camilla Denison made Crain Detroit Business’ list of 40 Under 40 business leaders, and she has earned recognition as an effective manager in an industry with very few female executives. Camilla Denison laid the foundations for her career as a successful engineering student at GMI Engineering & Management Institute. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Camilla Denison secured a position with General Motors Company, contributing in the different capacities of Manufacturing Engineer, Product Engineer, and Risk Analyst. As a Risk Analyst, Camilla Denison evaluated the risk of electric shock from electric vehicles and contributed a notable research paper on the topic. After her 10-year career with General Motors Company, Camilla Denison gained entrance to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a General Motors Fellow and received both a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical Engineering and a M.S. in Management from the Sloan School of Management. In 1992, Camilla Denison re-entered the work force as an industrial leader for ITT Automotive, where she stayed for seven years, helping to motivate and reshape the workplace culture. In Camilla Denison’s subsequent management position for Visteon Corporation, she maintained responsibility for the company’s profit and loss in all facilities, including overseas factories in Europe and Asia. Following these and other successes, Camilla Denison planned to retire on several occasions, but the industry invited her back. She served as CEO of Alemite, and a few years later as President of Champion Laboratories, Inc. Today, Camilla Denison leads SOMS Technologies, LLC as Chief Executive Officer, and in her free time she enjoys aerobics and water sports. Camilla Denison holds membership in the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and the National Council on Strength and Fitness.
