Camilla Griggers, PhD is a writer, somatic-emotional therapist, holistic bodyworker and critical theorist of the bodymind paradigm. A former university professor who taught cultural semiotics, media studies and gender studies before diving into the world of hands-on holistic healing practices, Camilla integrates somatics (the language of the body), semantics (the language of linguistics) and sentics (the language of the emotions) in her writings and healing arts practice. She is the author of the books Fast Therapy and Becoming-Woman, and co-director of the film Memories of a Forgotten War.

Camilla's mission is to help people reduce their risk of chronic illness and distress by using somatic-emotional integration methods. incorporating touch to instigate healthy change from within. Her goal is to help people bring more harmony to what they feel, think, say and do in ways that are more adaptive to changes in their environment. Always bridging the mind/body divide, she is a proponent of systemic and integrative approaches to healing and learning.

In her writings, private sessions and coaching, Camilla helps people transform habitual thoughts, emotions and behaviors that cause chronic illness and distress into adaptive bodymindsets that are personally and collectively sustainable. You can read her articles on topics of mindbody integration in culture, education, therapy and bodywork in Semiotica, Somatics, The Handbook of Body Psychotherapy and Somatic Psychology and Postmodern Culture.
