Camille Murray is a blossoming writer, editor and videographer. She started working in film and television in 2007 as a videographer, and attended the Art Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. She has shot professionally for Showtime, CodeBlack Entertainment and the Emmy award winning broadcast, Taking Authority. She completed the undergraduate bachelor’s degree program at Georgia State University, receiving her degree in Film and Video with a minor in African American Studies. Currently, Camille is completing the master’s degree program in New Media Journalism at Full Sail University.

While studying and researching the African American culture at Georgia State University and acquiring a more in-depth insight on the African diaspora, Camille decided to find ways to help uplift and rebuild the African American community. Upon starting the master’s degree program at Full Sail University, Camille’s passion for African American studies prompted her to start a blog entitled, Black Expansion, in which she covers topics and issues within the African American community. Her articles can be found at, www.blackexpansion.com, where she discusses matters such as domestic violence, health, education, economic empowerment and business within the African American community.

Camille’s ultimate goal is to write and produce documentaries and films that bring awareness to issues and concerns within the African American community. Her desire is to find solutions to many of the matters that negatively affect African Americans and inspire others to break the adverse cycles of the past and empower the African American community.
