Growing up, Ms. McCarter always felt as though the things she did were not good enough. Therefore she has always strived to exceed all objectives and obstacles on a spiritual, personal, and academic level. For example, when given an assignment, Camille aspires to go beyond the status quo by working diligently to meet deadlines by work effectively, efficiently, and displaying an ending quality product. In whatever she opts to do, she always tells herself "I will not fail". Instead, she makes a promise to herself to succeed. Camille strives for excellence, demonstrates being a positive role model for the youth, and makes her mark by working diligently within her community.
Born in Kinston, North Carolina and raised in a single parent home by her mother Keshia Woods, Ms. McCarter is her mother's only child. Camille's mother believes she is the epitome of what every young lady should be. She believes Camille is a God fearing, self-motivating, respectful, beautiful, goal-oriented, driven, outgoing, loveable individual. Ms. Woods always refers to Camille as her angel because Camille is rich in thought, mature, and displays a level wisdom that is unknown to mankind.
Camille attends North Carolina Central University where she is currently a junior with an anticipating graduation in Fall of 2016. Majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Administration, she upholds an outstanding GPA of 3.95. Camille has always taken her academics seriously and sees it as her first priority. Camille’s future endeavor is to graduate in the top 5% of her class.
Thus far, Camille has taken on two internships during her college tenure. Ms. McCarter was offered her first internship opportunity with the Virginia Beach Field House as the special events intern and currently she interns with North Carolina Central University Conference and Guest Services division on her campus. Post-Graduation, Camille intends to enter the field of event managementOutside of her personal life, Camille is extremely active in her university. On her campus, she has been involved in several organizations and has served as the Chapter President of the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality, the Co-founder and Vice President of Eagle Enhancement, and the University Honors Program Newsletter Chair. Most recently she accepted the National Public Relations Director position for the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality in the upcoming school year of 2014-2015.
