Camp Waziyatah

Waterford, ME

A historic sleep-away camp in Maine, Camp Waziyatah, affectionately known as “Wazi”, has been creating summer adventures since 1922. Campers enjoy two, four, six, or eight weeks of summer fun, welcomed into the camp’s close-knit community by capable, friendly counselors and staff. Camp Waziyatah’s 130 acres offer wooded trails for hiking and camping, as well as water sports in a warm, 3.5 mile private lake.

At Waziyatah, campers have the freedom to choose how to spend their activity time. Camp facilities include four tennis courts, a beach volleyball court and two basketball courts, a skateboard park, a baseball field, and two soccer fields. The lake hosts water activities from canoeing to sailing and water-skiing. Wazi also offers an archery range and a riflery range, a 50-foot climbing wall, on-site stables, a fully equipped theater and a visual arts center. Activity options are nearly endless, whether on water or land, whether sports-related or pertaining to the visual and performing arts. All activities, from horseback riding to water skiing, are included in the tuition.

Situated in Waterford, Maine, in the state’s beautiful Lakes Region, Camp Waziyatah also offers its facilities for weddings and other special events. The camp's owners, brothers Mitch and Gregg Parker, are longtime campers and counselors themselves and are accredited Camp Directors with the American Camp Association.
