Cam Pickering

Hello, my name is Cam Pickering and I am from Boston, Massachusetts. Being from Boston inadvertently leads to many people not liking, due to the fact that I am a passionate Boston sports fan. I’ve been taught to be stubborn, passionate, and caring because of this. If you come at me with any Boston sports slander, I will immediately have a quick-witted comeback that will make you feel silly. My favorite sports team is the Bruins, the pride of Boston. There is nothing like watching a bar down goal from the stands at the TD Garden while simultaneously erupting with joy. Boston is also home to my family, both my mom and dad's family lives there. Being from Boston is a blessing from the sports gods; I have been brought me up in a culture of success and pride. Experiencing many championships from the leadership of Tom Brady, Paul Pierce, Patrice Bergeron, and David Ortiz has shown me the positive impact that sports has on the world. I have translated this pride and successful attitude into my everyday life. I take great responsibility with everything I do, from my school work, job, to my relationships. There is a rather humble mentality surrounding Boston sports, never being too boastful nor obnoxious. I like to carry myself around with this same attitude; always showing gratitude and humility. My passion for the city extends deep into my personality, I always give 100% effort for whatever task I am doing. If the objective doesn’t turn out in my favor, I usually express emotion because I am deeply connected to everything I do.
