You know those hormones that flood a woman's body after she gives birth that make her think "That wasn't so bad, I think I'll do that again?" I'm convinced I have the male equivalent hormone around startups.

Seriously, Fliptop is the third company I've founded and I can't imagine doing anything else. My first two companies were acquired (Myplay by Bertelsmann, and Mi5 Networks by Symantec), and I've also had the good fortune to be part of successful startups like E.phipany (VP Marketing) and Vontu (VP Product Management), and successful projects like QuickTime (Product Manager for first three releases).

I'm also proud to serve on the Board of Directors for Little Kids Rock, a national non-profit that brings rock music instruction and free instruments to kids in public schools, that has served over 100,000 kids to date.

I was born in New Jersey, grew up in the Poconos, studied Electrical Engineering in Pittsburgh (Carnegie Mellon), but the minute my plane touched down in San Francisco for the first time, I knew I was home.

I'm into 4S's - swimming, snowboarding, sailing, and scuba diving. I spend too much time playing with tech gadgets, and if I was to be reincarnated I'd want to come back as Craig Venter, Burt Rutan or Yvon Chouinard.
