Small Business Owner in Lansing, MI
Hi, I’m Camron. I’ve spent the past 30 years at the intersection of creativity, business, and community impact. As the founder of Traction, a creative firm established in the mid-'90s, I’ve collaborated with businesses across the country, helping them shape their brands and tell their stories with clarity and impact.
Beyond the studio, I’m deeply committed to building and enriching communities. I’ve co-founded and spearheaded several transformative initiatives, including the Capital City Film Festival, Beacon Soccer Fields, and the Dimondale Arts Commission, where I led the installation of public sculptures, live music programming, and arts events.
I’ve also contributed to education as an adjunct faculty member at Michigan State University (ironically, a school that once rejected my application), spoken at industry conferences, and led branding cohorts online.
My work extends into real estate and historic preservation, having restored buildings that now serve as vibrant commercial and residential spaces through Lansing Lofts.
Serving boards for organizations like Impression 5 Science Center, the Small Business Association of Michigan and the Michigan Celebrates Small Business has proven to be very fulfilling.
Additionally, I’ve collaborated with a national book publisher, most recently on the IPPY National Gold-winning book,Flower House Detroit.
