Camille Rodriguez
Our featured weirdo of the week is a 27-year old media planner, residing in Manila. At first glance, she may look like any other plain Jane but look closer and you’ll discover her inner eccentricities.
At age 3, her aunt dyed her hair green. And though, she only saw her 3-year old green haired self on an old photograph, she doesn’t discount the fact that maybe, just a little, the dye seeped through her brain. Since seeing that photo, she never stopped daydreaming that she was a mutant –Rogue, maybe, from X-Men.
The root of all her quirks is her love of her personal space. She gets cranky when she’s toe to toe with a stranger in an elevator. Or when her seatmate in a public transport is too restless and agitated that they make annoying complaints about the traffic and other trivial hassles. But, don’t worry, she doesn’t bite. She just tends to give you the stink eye and an occasional “Grrr” (literally, saying ‘Grrr’) to the offending party.
Consequently, her quirks are balanced with her normally cheerful disposition and her love for nature and animals, specifically cats. She’s also into basketball, badminton, and UFC these days. Furthermore, music, coffee, and Korean drama series keep her sane. Friends, family, her cat Hachi, and Dean Winchester are, currently, the loves of her life. Her future plans include lots of travelling and going back to school to study writing or literature.
