Candice Norwood

Madrid, Spain

I'm a recent grad from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in news-editorial journalism with a minor in Spanish. With a notepad in one hand and a coffee in the other, I can usually be found covering stories for a variety of publications, which have included Newsday, The San Diego Union-Tribune and The St. Louis American newspapers.

I am currently living in Madrid, Spain for a year where I am assisting with teaching English at a public bilingual high school. Whenever I find time for myself, I like to keep busy by devouring juicy novels and television shows, perusing pop culture and news blogs, or pretending that I'm half as good of a baker as the women of DC cupcakes.

I would ultimately like to work as a features reporter covering international socio-political issues.
