A statement I hold true, as it has long been declared that we journalists are the watchdogs of a nation, the people who keep those in power in check and give voice to those whose stories must be told. While economic, political, cultural and social change ripples across the world, there are stories that need telling. As someone who is as passionate about people as I am about my investigative articles, my somewhat melancholic musings and articulate aphorisms have had me dubbed by many as a 'Soapbox Elocutionist.' I truly believe writing is my calling, my true voice, and I strive to find avenues where I can utilize that voice in the best way possible.
