Software Test Engineer in Maryland
Candice N. Canteen is a Senior Software Test Engineer for Axiologic Solutions. With over 14 years of experience, she has consistently stood out as a thought leader and a subject matter expert on her various programs.
Candice graduated, magna cum laude, from North Carolina A&T State University, receiving her Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science. She continued her education at George Washington University obtaining a Master of Science in Information Technology.
Pursuing a dream, Candice received her Juris Doctor from Columbus School of Law at Catholic University, while working full time at CACI. She worked as a legal intern for Columbus Community Legal Services providing free legal support to elderly members of the community. In addition, she served as Evening Vice President and Alumni relations’ Chair with the Black Law Students’ Association.
Further exploring her passion for policy and legislation, while still rising in her engineering career, Candice was a Spring Fellow for Organizing for America, a grassroots organization committed to creating progressive change. She focused on bringing awareness to women’s leadership issues, inspired by her own experiences in law and engineering.
With a passion for philanthropy, Candice believes in supporting amazing organizations. She is a charter member of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, a press member of the Newseum, a supporter of American Civil Liberties Union and Higher Heights. Previously, she volunteered with Fort Washington Food Pantry, an organization offering free groceries to local families in need.
She sits on the board of Girls PREP, Inc, a non-profit mentoring organization offering innovative, collaborative and personalized mentoring relationships to African-American and Latina-American girls between the ages of 16-21.
In her spare time Candice enjoys, traveling, reading, exploring DC’s restaurant scene, listening to podcasts and online shopping.
