Manager, Teacher Leadership Development-Teach For America

I'm an advocate and systems change leader charged with developing and cultivating STEM teachers’ leadership skills and mindsets to foster educational equity. I facilitate small group sessions and design learning experiences that offer best instructional practices and create communities of collaboration to ensure teachers are integrating equitable practices in their classrooms.

Founder and Executive Director-FLY Math Club

Our mission is to increase girls’ interest and engagement in math by boosting their academic confidence through authentic learning opportunities using a financial literacy-based curriculum. We break down mental barriers to math success for girls with the ultimate goal to close the gender gap in STEM fields. I'm responsible for designing and executing programming that inspires girls to become academic risk-takers who are leaders, critical thinkers, and problem solvers.

With my latest project, I'm on a journey to help social impact leaders of start-up or small nonprofit organizations optimize their project planning processes so they can minimize overwhelm and maximize their impact. Through my brand Consulting Candice, I provide resources to help social impact leaders increase their effectiveness so they can fulfill their organizations' mission. Basically, I help leaders brainstorm, organize, and prioritize their cause-driven projects so they can stay focus on our goals.
