"The role of a writer is not to say what we can all say, but what we are unable to say." — Anaïs Nin
Life is about transitions. If I've learned nothing else, this IS what I know.
Through many losses and hard knocks, one things has held true: I write. I may not have found the success and notoriety most of us writers wish we could find, but it hasn't stopped me from continuing on this journey to explore new worlds and better understand the ones left behind.
For me the past and the present are always connected, so history is as alive for me today as it was for those who lived years ago. In A Guide for the Perplexed, Maimonides writes, "Your purpose...should always be to know...the whole that was intended to be known." My writing, my research, and yes my very purpose in life, lies in these words.
If you know me, you know.
