I'm California Desert Program Manager for the National Parks Conservation Association.

I am an experienced and enthusiastic public speaker. As a result of being a writer and editor at non-profits for two decades, I also know my way around page layout and design tools, and shoot a passable photo.

I have written articles for publications across the United States, as well as in Japan and the UK. Emphases include environmental politics, science, and natural history. You can find my writing at KCET.org and at my blog Coyote Crossing, among other places.
