Ryan Robinson

My name is Ryan Robinson and I'm currently studying Journalism at Rowan University. This blog is named Cape Gonzo Surfing for a reason and that's to show the online world about the surfing culture in Cape May, NJ. This isn't your ordinary surf blog though. This blog will explore the lives of local surfers on and off the board. It'll include posts of surf trips and all the preparations surfs go through before hitting the water. It'll also show the different adaptations surfs go through during the changing of the seasons. As summer comes to an end, surfing season slowly begins. Tropical storms are slowly heading up the coast and surfers all over are constantly checking reports to see when the next swell will arrive. This blog will also include swell reports are surfers can access with a click of a tab. It'll also include pictures of different surf breaks down the shoreline in Cape May. The shore town of Cape May may be small, but the creativity of the locals is endless. When there isn't swell, local surfers embark are the next activity to pass the time. Whether it be skateboarding to partying amongst the moonlight around a fire, this blog will show the average lives of local Cape May surfers.
