Dennis Rotary is an I.A.R. who is bound to a fiduciary standard. Unlike a broker-dealer suitability representative, a fiduciary standard requires Dennis to act in the best interests of the person he is working with. Acting under a fiduciary standard, a representative is legally appointed and authorized to hold assets in trust for another person. Simply put, representatives working under the fiduciary standard must put the interests of their clients first.
