He holds Masters’ degrees in Philosophy, Sociology, Defence Studies & Political Science beside B.Sc. and LLB. He also holds master’s degree in Business Administration and post graduate diplomas in Business Administration, Personnel Management & Industrial Relations and Safety & Security Management. He had short but outstanding tenure in Indian Army where he was awarded Commendations by Chief of The Army Staff twice for devotion to duty and exemplary performance.
He has more than four decades’ experience in the field of industrial security management. He worked in GAIL (India) Limited as Chief of in the position of General Manager. He was Corporate Trainer at GAIL’s Corporate Training Institute and also taught MBA students at few leading Management Institutes.
He is Co-founder of “International Council of Industrial Security and Safety” (http://onlineicissm.wix.com/iciss) and is presently functioning as its Chief Councillor and devoting himself towards its Certification Program for security and safety professionals. He has been regular faculty in Management Institutes. Various articles are published in related magazines and internet sites. He also has made presentations in more than 37 international seminars on the subjects of homeland security and industrial security.
He was bestowed the coveted award of ‘Best Security Manager’ on 30th August 2007 instituted by Security Today. He was awarded ‘Best Security Manager’ in 2002 and ‘Best Security Operation Manager’ in 2004 by IISSM (International Institute of Security and Safety Management). He is awarded as ‘Best Security Practitioner’ in GAIL in year 2009.
He is winner of SECONA Shield Award 2016 as Best Chief Security Officer. The award is testimony of untiring efforts, constant application of noble approaches in security management, innovation and leadership.
CAPSI awarded him as Best Security Professional in 2018.
He is recipient of “Award of Fellowship (FISM)” and is “Certified Security Professional (CSP)” and “Certified Security & Safety Consultant (CSC)”.

He has been serving Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) as Award Jury since 2020 i.e. in all its four editions in India.
