Anna Caracosa

Anna Caracosa is a student of Dr. Lucy Lewis and has a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Violin Performance. She has completed a Minor in Entrepreneurship in the Arts, also under the instruction of Dr. Lucy Lewis and Patrick Person, School of Entrepreneurship faculty.
Caracosa is an avid orchestral musician and has performed all over Southern California. Currently, she is the Concertmaster of the CSUSB Symphony Orchestra, Associate Concertmaster of the Pasadena City College and Community Orchestra, and a second violinist in the Temecula Valley Symphony. She has also previously performed with the Coachella Valley Symphony and the Cadenza String Orchestra of Temecula. Apart from her orchestral activities, Caracosa is also a chamber musician and has participated in the CSUSB String Chamber Music program, Early Music Ensemble, New Music Ensemble, and the PCC Chamber Music program. In 2024, she was featured as a guest soloist in the CSUSB Cello Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Esther Back. Caracosa has also performed in masterclasses for John Brannon, Dr. Anne Rardin, John Mario di Costanzo, and Clive Greensmith.
With a passion for volunteer work, Caracosa actively seeks opportunities to engage with her local community. She was previously invited to perform for gigs such as West Valley High School’s 2022 production of Hello, Dolly! and the 2023 Annual Migrant Mass of the Diocese of San Bernardino. She has also participated as a fundraising musician for the City of Love, a Riverside Arts Academy production, and the Sunset Soirée, a fundraising banquet hosted by the mayor of San Bernardino in collaboration with Mountain Top Strings. Caracosa also contributes herself freely as a collaborative violinist and has premiered many new compositions, in addition to being featured on several studio recordings.
As a devoted pedagogue, Caracosa employs her experience, methodology, and philosophy toward the development of string programs in the greater Inland Empire. Currently, she works as a teacher in the CSUSB Coyote “Yotie” String Project, and is an instructional coach, guest clinician, and private teacher for the violinists of Kaiser High School in Ontario, CA. She is also the head teacher of beginner strings for the Musica! annual Summer Strings Academy where she introduces foundational technique to young aspiring musicians.
