Cara Crossan is a Hazelden trained and qualified addiction therapist, consultant and clinical supervisor, holding a Masters (MSc) in Addiction Psychology & Counselling.
Cara is currently the only female certified CSAT in Australia, specialising in the treatment of sex addiction and trauma. Cara completed training in the US under the tutelage of Dr Patrick Carnes and Dr Kenneth Adams - the leading practitioners in the field of sex and love addiction.
Cara has 20 years experience, working with individuals and families affected by substance abuse and process addictions. She provides training in all areas of addiction and has worked in the private and charity sectors, setting up treatment programs and services. She has worked in Criminal Justice and healthcare settings in Ireland, UK, Holland and Australia.
Recently Cara has set up Cross Addictions, a private counselling service, with offices in Melbourne and in Sydney. Cara is also available for online therapy sessions.
