Currently working as a freelance games critic, Cara has worked in the games industry and the publishing industry.

She has a passion for pop culture and loves to read, write and edit. These are evidenced in her professional work as an editor at Blasted Heath http://blastedheath.com/ and Polygon Books http://www.birlinn.co.uk/, critical pieces on games and film, and her production work at the BBC. In the past, she has worked for Rockstar North and as an interactive story writer.

She currently writes for The Guardian, Rock Paper Shotgun, PC Gamer, Pocket Gamer, the New Statesman, writes comics for Kotaku, and produces a regular feature for Resonance FM's longrunning One Life Left show.
