Cardiff

Violent crime, drug abuse, family breakdown, teenage law-breaking, welfare dependency, poor urban environments, teenage pregnancy, binge drinking, educational failure, dysfunctional families, poverty; these are just some of the problems we face in our city (indeed every UK city). A lot of these issues also form people’s complaints, I often hear people complaining about ‘the youth of today’, or about people ‘on the dole’, or what the Government is or isn’t doing about such issues. It’s clear to see that Government can’t, and it’s unfair to assume they should, sort every problem in society. John F. Kennedy (35th President of the USA) was quoted as saying, “One person can make a difference, and everyone should try.” In order to see change, we have to be the change; each one of us. We all have something to give, and we all have something to gain. Cardiff Action Collective aims to bring together people who will work to turn complaints into action to motivate change. If you live or work in Cardiff and would like to be part of the solution, we would love to hear from you.
