Sometimes you wonder if music really has value in the world because of the many conflicts and social issues that people face. You might ask yourself what music can contribute to our daily lives as human beings. You don’t even realize it; suddenly you find yourself humming a familiar song; it seems to be a reflex.
Why is music is not a priority in education but is the first thing you do in the morning? Why do we feel our emotions more deeply through music? Aren’t you really intrigued? Don’t you wonder? Has it ever crossed your mind what drives musicians to love a job that is purely an art? I will show you why and how music is not outdated and never fades away. One thing I am certain of is that music is the language that unites us as people. Music conveys feelings that humans cannot express. Enough with the questions; let me guide you through my life.
I am currently a Music Education, Voice Major at the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas. Before this journey began, I was enrolled at Adamson University, where I pursued Political Science as a pre-law student. It was through the Church that I discovered my passion for music; back then, I couldn't even read musical notes. Now, here I am, thriving at the Conservatory, thanks in part to a scholarship for music provided by the Church. This opportunity has allowed me to share my music and knowledge I gained from the conservatory. As I continue my education, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in both teaching and performing music, contributing to the cultural landscape while fulfilling my calling.
