Carel. C. Botha

Born in Standerton, a small mostly agricultural town situated on the Vaal River in Mpumalanga, South Africa.

After moving to Pretoria, where I studied Computer Engineering I started working for the then, Santambank, which later became Trust Bank and eventually part of the ABSA Group, where I stayed for 12 years ending my career as an IT Project Manager at ABSA Head Office in Johannesburg.

I was then head-hunted to assist a small financial service provider in Pretoria to set up their Electronic Data Interchange [EDI] processes and was then transferred to the holding group African Bank Investments Limited [ABIL] where I remained for a further 2 years.

I then left ABIL in 2000 and formed Bizco Business Consulting, which initially assisted smaller financial institutions with their EDI Processes. This became a tedious and also unreliable source of income, which paved the way to where we are now.

Bizco Business Consulting includes; (i) Bizco Business Consulting [Management Consulting], Bizco Mobile [Training], (ii) Bizco Technologies [Specific Purpose Application Software and Mobile Application Development], (iii) Professional CV Zone [Human Resources] and (iv) the CB Foundation for People Living with Disabilities [NPO].

Many ventures have been started of our own, some more successful than others, and over the years we have also assisted numerous entrepreneurs to start up businesses their own. We have built many relationships with various high ranking people in the corporate world and local government as well as international organisations, situated outside of South Africa.

I enjoy the company of people close to me, music, cricket, rugby and motor sport, especially the World Rally Championship [WRC] and Formula 1 #F1
