Carina Birarda

As a cybersecurity and business continuity consultant and researcher, I bring extensive experience in evaluating and improving information security management systems. My certifications, including ISO27032LM®, C|CISO®, ISO27001LA®, ISO22301LA®, CCSK®, Cyberdiplomacy®, and CSFPC®, demonstrate my technical competence in this field. I am also a member of the Latin American Steering Committee of the International Cybersecurity CTF (ICSC) in Europe and the Multilateral Advisory Group (MAG) of the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF).

My career highlights include leading strategic cybersecurity and business continuity projects at the Cybersecurity Center of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires (GCBA-CSIRT), as well as at AFIP and Patagonia Bank, where I coordinated BCP and evaluated the information security management systems. I have also developed technical competencies in governance and IT processes as an Information Security and Quality Assurance Officer.

My strength as a consultant and researcher lies in my ability to lead cybersecurity projects effectively and strategically, implementing strong security measures and risk management to ensure business continuity for clients. Additionally, as the founder of #BinaryGroup, a community for women in technology and cybersecurity, I am committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the field.
