Carington McKinney

Art was always a form of expression used to express the emotions of an artist no matter the form. Believing that expressing yourself and the importance of originality, Carington knew that she had a passion for art. Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, living with her mother, and two younger sisters family and god always came first. She developed the passion during her early teenage years and took the opportunity to work on her skills by taking any Art class offered during High school. Her mother made sure that she stayed very active involving her in the youth choir, volleyball, basketball, and track. Maintaining good grades and graduating with a 3.2, she continued to study for her bachelor’s degree of Art at North Carolina Central University, majoring in visual communications. Carington has always been very talented and well rounded in design and knew that she could not see herself doing anything else. She has several interests in Modeling, Acting, Fashion, and Photography. She has the dream of being an aspiring graphic designer and taking on the tasks of building a brand for herself. With dreams of being a Actress and model, she believes in still working towards them in school and somehow all of her plans will come together. With great ambition and believing that if she trusts in God and remain humble she can have anything in this world that she puts her mind to.
