Carissa Reiniger

Carissa Reiniger is a dedicated and passionate entrepreneur. Her commitment to empowering small business owners and helping people make money doing what they actually love inspired her to create her first company, Silver Lining Ltd. Through her experience at the helm of Silver Lining, Carissa authored SLAP™ (Silver Lining Action Plan), a business development tool that sets an annual financial growth goal and provides resources and accountability to facilitate actually reaching it. In less than six years, Carissa built a ten million dollar business from the ground up, eventually replacing herself with a President/COO so that she can focus on aggressive expansion and growth. Silver Lining now has offices in New York and Toronto, as well as Locally Owned Branches across Canada, the US, and Central America.

Over the years, Carissa Reiniger has worked and spoken with literally thousands of entrepreneurs. She has published two books on entrepreneurship, Inspiring Entrepreneurs: How to Build Your Business To Its First Million and I Will, and served as a featured columnist for many publications. Carissa has also partnered with leading Fortune 500 names like RIM, Staples, Intuit, HP, and UPS.

Carissa has also started and/or led other small businesses via her holding company, CRinc. She is the Creator and Executive Producer of Stories From Our Black Books, a website that collects real relationship stories and uses them as inspiration for art and entertainment. These narratives have resulted in two published books and a play produced across Canada. Today, there are plans for an Off-Broadway productio, a documentary, and live art installations.

Carissa Reiniger is also an investor and advisor for many small businesses. She has played a pivotal role in helping raise over forty million dollars for small businesses and start-ups. She is active at the board and business development level with Artlog.com, Actionable Books, and AirEast.

Carissa deeply values community service and development initiatives. She was the President of Women Entrepreneurs of Canada, a Co-Chair of the Nikibasika Children’s Development Project in Uganda, and on the board of the New York Chapter of Entrepreneur’s Organization. Carissa also chairs a global initiative to incorporate philanthropy into all chapters of the EO network.
