Beginning my life in Art as a classical vocalist 2017 sees my fortieth year a 'shooter' with research from institutions like MIT's Media Lab and Museum, the Eastman Museum, Creative Center for Photography and the Royal Photographic Society, indicating that I'm the only photographer known who has captured 20 by 40 foot, in concert, ‘live’ laser imagery, (live defined by the fact that there was a laserist playing the laser to canned music) with an analog camera, and slow film.

Shot in 1979 these slices of photo history are viewable at imajinnation.net. I've been fortunate to have been a stringer for Aetna, shot tabletop for United Technologies, stock with Black Star Photo Agency and anything except food and weddings.

Over the last 4 decades numerous faces have intersected my film plane from celebrities and personalities to children. A number of them are in the MugFiles, with the stories that go along with them a narrative on the final prints and in the book.

From the traditional themes of Flora and Street to my more 'out there' images utilizing the new tech to mix the 'dancing patterns of light' with the aspects of musicians, the imagery is designed to provoke and evoke.

Currently to engage new collectors images can be viewed at www.instagram.com/djinncarllewis with the 'Outakes' available on my site.
