Carla Manzoni

Minneapolis, MN

I am a devoted and innovative teacher as well as a versatile and energetic scholar, with experience in community outreach, arts and media. I am currently a Visiting Professor of Spanish, teaching Spanish language and Hispanic culture at St. Olaf College, MN.

My interdisciplinary dissertation explores avant-garde/experimental/independent audio-visual of memory. I have published 3 academic papers in peer-reviewed journals and 3 book reviews. I am also the co-author of the literature book "Soy mano", Ed. del Tratado (2005).

I have actively participated in Hispanic art events such as coordinating an audio-visual workshop for teen Latinas (2012), organizing a multi-channel video exhibition (2012) or working with the films representing Hispanic countries in the context of the Minneapolis-St Paul International Film festival (2007-2008).

More recently, I have invited scholars to present on Hispanic art at St. Olaf. In the Spring, I will present my work on Art and Human Rights in Spain and Argentina at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY) New York.
