Hi, I'm Carla.

I am a Journalist gone Event Marketer for the Arts and Entertainment.

Early on in my career I fell in love with film production. In Mexico City I worked for film, tv, film festivals, and in the production of live events (mainly concerts), which gave me the opportunity to work with international artists such as Yann Tiersen, Yelle & Nouvelle Vague; booking agencies, press, management offices and venues in Mexico, U.S., Canada, England, France, Germany and Spain.

Along the way I have been lucky to meet and work next to so many talented people like Guillermo Arriaga, Geraldine Chaplin, Stella McCartney, and I even interviewed Alfonso Cuarón a few months before he received the Oscar for Best Director (Gravity).

In 2014 I moved to Toronto, Canada to pursue a postgraduate degree in Event Marketing for the Sports, Arts and Entertainment. In recent months I had the opportunity to work for the non-for-profit and learn about fundraising.
I was also part of the Interactive Marketing Department for Canada's Walk of Fame, an annual event to celebrate Canadians who have excelled in their respective fields, where I worked alongside inductees and guest stars Michael Bublé, Shawn Mendes, Silken Laumann, Lawrence Hill, Jason Priestley.
