I'm the inventor of Geocode. The technology was developed as part of the University of Maryland Technology Advancement Program (TAP). I invented GEOCODE®, the digital technology used to represent and identify the location of anything. GEOCODE® is a Society of Motion Pictures and Television Engineers (SMPTE) industry metadata standard for movies and television. It’s also the digital signature for media clips. GEOCODE® is an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) industry standard for identifying the location of digital information assets on digital telecommunication networks.

GEOCODE® is the intersection point where global geographic coordinates and altitude planes intersect. It’s the vertex of global location coordinates. If you add local or global time, GEOCODE® is the only singular data representation that is unique. It's as individual as you are. Think of it as a new geospatial DNA or digital footprint. You can also control where and when it is used.

In my spare time, I advise graduate students in information technology at my alma mater, Johns Hopkins University. I also teach part-time at Montgomery Community College, Information Technology Institute, which provides workforce technology skills training to adults learners returning to the workforce.

Finally, as a retired US Army officer, I provide advice and mentoring to Wounded Warriors at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. It’s my way of “Paying It Forward” for their honorable, dedicated service, and sacrifice they made for our nation.
